Mantra meditation is one of the most widely known types of meditations. If you have ever heard “om” in the context of meditation...well, that’s this kind of meditation. But it is also so much more! The phrase or word used is the focal point to help clear your mind and can be easier for some than focusing on their breath.

I find this meditation style to be powerful used with healing and inspiring affirmations. These do not have to be full sentences although some are. One of the most powerful for me is one found in “The Big Leap” by Gay Hendricks. It is

I expand in abundance, success, and love every day, as I inspire those around me to do the same.

When looking to expand my thoughts of achievement, feelings of accomplishment, or need some encouragement that there is love in this world, this is my go-to mantra/affirmation.

“I expand in abundance, success, and love every day, as I inspire those around me to do the same.”

Reading the book Spirit Junkie by Gabby Bernstein was a HUGE game changer for me when it came to releasing anger and past relationships. She focuses on self-love and worthiness. If you are healing from relationship trauma that is caused by you (hard pill to swallow but….it happens), your need to have someone else make you whole to the point of losing who you are to be what you think they want, then I HIGHLY recommend this book.

If self-doubt and worries about money keep you from playing full out in life, I suggest Jen Sincero’s “You Are A Badass” series.

10 Powerful Affirmations that you can use for healing and inspiration:

  1. I forgive you for not being who I needed you to be.

  2.  I expand in abundance, success, and love every day, as I inspire those around me to do the same.

  3. I love myself, I forgive myself.

  4. I am in charge of how I feel today and I choose (Fill in your word here such as love, happiness, peaceful, or confident)

  5. I am enough.

  6. I am allowed to be different.

  7. I bring value to all I offer.

  8. Choices in the past don’t define my future.

  9. I am worthy of all the things I desire.

  10. I love money because it provides me with options.

I would suggest picking one and staying with it as long as it strikes a chord within you as you meditate. If there is some uncomfortableness, then you know it is the right one. If you like to journal, I would suggest writing your reactions to the affirmation to see if you can find the root cause of it.
